Went on a spontaneous date to downtown Kirkland with my boyfriend for an "end-of-quarter" destressing! It was a cloudy Spring day that was mildly warm with a cool breeze so I decided to wear this lightweight faux leather-sleeve utility jacket from Nordstrom's. We walked along the quaint, little street filled with small boutiques, bakeries, and cafes, and, of course, as a dessert connoisseur I had to check out this dessert shop called Sweet Cakes! They had so many delicious cakes and pastries from cake pops to mini cheesecakes like this red velvet one we decided to pick up. It was so moist and had just the perfect amount of sweetness. I definitely recommend checking this place out if you're ever in Kirkland!
Afterwards, we went on a long, cliche romantic walk by the "beach"! I say "beach" in quotations because this beach was nothing compared to the beaches back home as in instead of sand there was just a vast bunches of pebbles strewn along the shore.
